Laser Hair Removal uses concentrated beams of light that damage and destroys hair follicles, leading to a permanent reduction in unwanted body hair.
We use a diode laser to complete Laser Hair Removal treatments. Jazzi Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetic is the one practice in the area that has the diode system.
Thanks to advancements in laser technology, laser hair removal is not a painful procedure. Many men and women report a sensation similar to a slight sting that has the laser pulses. The laser is equipped with cooling technology that keeps your skin at a comfortable temperature from start to finish.
Laser Hair Removal can be done on skin types 1-6.
Before your session, we ask that you:
- Do not pluck, bleach or wax desired treatment areas
- Avoid sun exposure 2 weeks prior
- Avoid self and spray tanners
- Shave prior to treatment
- Do not get in public water
- No exercise for 24hrs
- No sweating with ablative tissue (take summer off for tattoo removal treatment)
- Use Vaseline/Aquaphor for hydration. It is important that area is kept moist to avoid scabs/scars
- Antibiotic ointment may be applied post treatment to broken skin
- Keep area covered for 48 hrs, takes 24 hrs for re-epithelialization to occur
- Avoid sun exposure to treated area completely for 10 days
- Wear sunscreen
- Healing of the skin takes about 2 weeks with tattoo fading for about 8 weeks,reduces about 20% less with each treatment Q-switch is successful in removing tattoo without scarring, Hypo or Hyperpigmentation, final result is almost complete clearance of tattoo
- Retreatment every 6 weeks
- Will require 6-12 treatments depending on the bodies clearance of the color
We will apply ultrasound gel to the area you want hair removal Passes over the area: up & down, side to side, and diagonal with tip gliding across the body
You can have Laser Hair Removal every 4-6 weeks.
